As part of the presidential anti-corruption decree approved yesterday, Vladimir Putin instructed the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Digital Development and the Russian Central Bank to develop algorithms to verify data on the ownership of cryptocurrencies and other digital assets by November 15 this year.

In addition, government agencies have until December 20, 2022 to thoroughly analyze the possibility of using digital technologies in the provision of public services at all levels and niches.

Also by September 20, 2023 to develop the practice of providing information on the possession of digital currencies and control over the cost of their purchase.

In turn, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation must determine the regulation of corruption using digital currencies.
