100 thousand miners online

The 2Miners pool has reached a new milestone. At the moment more than 114 thousand people are using the mining pool. More than 70,000 of them are mining Etherium, while another 22,000 are mining Ravencoin.

This result is not only because of the new payment system in the Etherium pool. It allows ETH miners to get remuneration not only in ether, but also in BTC and NANO. This saves significantly on commission costs.

The new payment system in Bitcoin and Nano is used by almost 30,000 miners.

At the same time, the cost of gas in the Ether network is still high: lately the figure has hardly dropped below the level of 100 GVeys. That’s why the 2Miners pool management has decided to keep the maximum cost of gas at 135 geev, which guarantees the payments for the miners. If the average commission on the network decreases, the limit will also be reduced.

Cryptocurrency node software update

November was remembered for an update to many of the cryptocurrencies available on the 2Miners pool. Here’s a list of the most important updates during this month.

  • Ethereum (ETH) Geth v1.10.12-stable-950ec1cc/linux-amd64/go1.17.3
  • Nervos (CKB) 0.101.1 (fb1e5dd 2021-10-27)
  • Horizen (ZEN) 3.0.2
  • Cortex (CTXC) 1.10.29-stable-27b3d7b8
  • Beam (BEAM) 6.1.12023

As a reminder, the version of the Etherium node is available at any time on the network page.

Etherium network stats page

Redesigned stats page

The 2Miners team regularly updates the pool to make it even easier to use. In November, the developers updated the so-called dashboards, i.e. statistics pages. Here are the main changes.

  • Information about daily rewards has been added to the luck graph on the blocks page.
  • Extra income for miners or MEVs is now displayed on the luck graph on the blocks page for the Etherium pool.

Miner stats on 2Miners pool

The stats page for each miner now shows these new stats:

  • estimated daily income;
  • share of validated blocks;
  • remuneration in dollars;
  • Offline walkers (if any) are now shown next to online walkers.

New software for mining

The archive for quick start of mining has been updated. The password to it remains the same – 2miners – without capital letters and dots at the end.

Now it was updated with these programs:

  • t-rex 0.24.7;
  • gminer 2.72;
  • lolminer 1.36a;
  • teamredminer 0.8.6.3.

The archive contains ready-to-use versions of the mining software, configured for the 2Miners mining pool. Accordingly, miners only need to edit the bat-file by adding their wallet address to it.

Ergo Update

ERGO miners save a special data table to the memory of the video card, which is analogous to the DAG file in the Ethereum network. Until recently, the file size was 2.08 GB.

However, starting at block 614,400 – which is around 10am Moscow time on November 7 – the table has grown to 2.18GB. Thereafter, it will grow by 5 percent every 51,200 blocks or approximately 79 days. Videocards with 3GB of memory will be able to mine ERGO without visible loss until early 2023, although by May 2023 the table size should exceed 3GB. It is likely that 3GB will be able to continue to mine further in special limited lossy hashrate modes.

Note that you will probably need to adjust the overclocking settings of your video cards. If you are using lolMiner or TeamRedMiner, the latest versions of the miners are required to continue mining ERGO. Bat files for mining remain the same. Well, miners with T-Rex don’t need to do anything – everything already works in it.

Recent versions of miners are available in archive for quick start of mining. Password is 2miners.
