Results for 2021

Last year, the growth of interest in cryptocurrency mining was evident. The 2Miners pool team matched the trend and continued to provide the best platform development for beginners and experienced miners alike.

Etherium has been a major catalyst for increased activity among video card owners, but has also been remembered for many surprises. In particular, the network went through the London hardfork, forcing the developers of 2Miners to create a new payout system. It allows significant savings on commissions when paying rewards, and many users have already appreciated the convenience of this innovation. Right now more than 35 thousands users are getting rewards in BTC and NANO.

In 2022 Etherium will migrate from Proof-of-Work to Proof-of-Stake, making ETH mining via video cards irrelevant. Read more about mining in this environment in a separate article.

The complexity of Etherium mining has tripled in 2021. Accordingly, each video card now mines three times less ETH than it did a year ago. Against the backdrop of what’s happening, the article “Ethereum mining revenue has dropped. Why has it happened and what to do?” is being read more and more often.

The complexity of mining Ethereum

The increase in Ethereum’s network hash rate and mining complexity has also occurred due to software developers unlocking the potential of so-called LHR video cards from Nvidia. We have already conducted tests of the respective hardware with Gminer, T-Rex and lolMiner.

Overall, the 2Miners pool is growing day by day. Now the pool is used by more than 122 thousand miners.

Updating of node software

2Miners pool supports a lot of coins, so its representatives regularly monitor updates of nodes for 19 cryptocurrencies. For example, the Ergo network encountered some problems in December, which were eventually fixed by the ERG developers. The BEAM wallet update caused inconvenience for many users and cryptocurrency exchanges. In addition, 2Miners representatives asked miners to stop using Coinex platform, whose developers failed to update Beam node and provoked malfunctions. Also in December, an important update was released for the FIRO network.

Here is a list of the node updates that took place towards the end of the year.

  • Beam Node 6.2.12495
  • Ergo Protocol Reference Client 4.0.19
  • Firo v0.14.9.2

Big blocks in Etherium

December proved to be a fruitful month for Etherium miners. ETH pool 2Miners found blocks with rewards of 53, 46, 39 and 23 ETH. There was also one block with 51 ETH as a MEV reward. The record of the solo pool was almost 34 ETH per block.

Big blocks on the Etherium network

As 2Miners pools use the PPLNS system, extra rewards are traditionally shared between users.

2CryptoCalc update

The 2CryptoCalc calculator now allows you to choose your local currency, and the design of the site itself has been refined. Finally, many small bugs have been fixed.
