February for 2Miners: huge blocks in Etherium mining and node updates
Spring has arrived, so it is a tradition to sum up the February results for the 2Miners mining pool. More than 120 thousand people are still mining cryptocurrencies there, and the pool continues to evolve and update. We tell you about the results of work during the month in details.

2Miners pool Etherium news
In February, the 2Miners team increased the number of balls in the PPLNS system from 300 thousand to 1 million. This will not affect the average profitability of miners in any way, but will help smaller miners with the appropriate hash rate to participate in more pool blocks.
How does the PPLNS pool payout system work?
The update has proven to be very useful. Thanks to it, miners with small processing power participated in mining almost all large blocks in February. Moreover, there were extra payouts on the pool almost every week.
- 68.49 ETH – February 2
- 147.79 ETH – February 10th
- 149.54 ETH – February 15
- 23.83 ETH – February 23.
Of course, that’s not all of last month’s trophies – their complete list is available on the pool’s blocks page. And in general, all the most important achievements and changes appear in the 2Miners pool Telegram channel. If you use Telegram, we recommend you subscribe.
Updates nodes
2Miners pool software is always updated to the latest versions in a timely manner. In February an update was waiting for pools of three cryptocurrencies – and for both PPLNS and SOLO modes. We are talking about Etherium, Nervos and Ergo.
Here is a list of the most important updates and current versions of Node’s software that are already installed.
- Geth/v1.10.15-stable
- Ckb 0.101.4 (7d03c55 2022-01-18)
- Ergo Protocol Reference Client 4.0.23
Dual-Mining Relevant Again
In February, dual-mining of Ethereum and Toncoin hit the radar of miners. As a result, many software developers like lolMiner, Gminer and TeamRedMiner released their new versions, which allowed to mine both coins and earn additional rewards.
We checked the mining of both cryptocurrencies at the same time. It turned out that it was indeed more profitable then. Read more about the experiment in the article “How to earn more cryptocurrency by dual-mining ETH + TON”.
Alas, the difficulty of mining TON has increased significantly since then, and the cryptocurrency itself will end three months later. As a reminder, before you start dual-mining you need to carefully calculate and verify your profitability, because mining a second coin increases the power consumption of the farm.
The anonymity of the 2Miners pool
At the end of February, many miners began to wonder whether the developers of the 2Miners pool were going to block residents of certain countries, regions and areas.
The 2Miners team reminds that the pool is completely anonymous. Accordingly, there is no data on the location of the owners of computing equipment, and there will be no blocking.
We recommend joining our community of miners on Telegram.
