FIRO delisting on 2Miners

On 13 September 2024 at 13:00, the FIRO cryptocurrency was officially removed from the 2Miners mining pool. The reason for this was the announcement of the project developers regarding the reduction of miners’ rewards by five times on block number 958655, which was mined on 16 September.

Announcement of the fixed tokenisation of the Firo cryptocurrency

The new reward distribution system favours masternodes and hits the share of miners significantly. This is not in line with the 2Miners pool’s values of supporting the mining community. Therefore, FIRO was awaiting delisting.

Kaspa stable mainnet and WASM SDK v0.15.1 launched

Last month, Kaspa released an update to the stable mainnet, focusing on developing the mempool functionality needed to adapt to the commission market. The new features included:

  • A transaction editing feature in the mempool called Replace-By-Fee (RBF);
  • an API for estimating commissions based on the current state of the mempool to predict them more accurately;
  • an updated mempool preemptive policy that prioritises transactions based on commission level.

Update on the Kaspa network

Additional improvements included changes to the transaction selection algorithm and header processing performance. The above will make Kaspa mining more efficient in different network conditions. Upgrading to the new version is recommended to ensure stability and optimal blockchain support.

Pyrin network hardfork

The Pyrin network hosted a planned hardfork on block number 27,037,930, which involved the introduction of a new mining algorithm, PyrinHashV2. The change requires miners to update their software in order to continue to efficiently mine PYI. Details and a countdown to the event were available on the Pyrin Network Observer.

Karlsen network update and hardfork

The Karlsen blockchain also went through a hardfork. The latter changed the mining algorithm to KarlsenHashV2, necessary to improve network stability and efficiency.

Following the update, several issues were resolved, including a critical transaction rejection bug that affected pool operators. The update also improved the stability of transaction processing and improved wallet functionality. So, it’s crucial for miners to update to the latest version of the software.

Updating mining software

The archive for quick start mining has been updated (password – 2miners). It now contains the latest versions of miners with support for the current mining algorithms in Pyrin and Karlsen networks. We are talking about:

  • Gminer 3.44
  • lolMiner 1.90
  • Rigel 1.19.0
  • T-Rex 0.26.8
  • TeamRedMiner 0.10.21
  • XMRig 6.22.0

The update plays a crucial role in compatibility with new mining algorithms and performance of the latter.
