HMSTR distribution was indeed a large-scale event, but the impressions from it were not the best. Still, as it turned out shortly before the airdrop, the amount for each user mainly depended on the number of invited players. Accordingly, ordinary tap without a social component brought participants ridiculous amounts in dollar equivalent, which caused criticism of the developers.

However, this is not all: after the listing of Hamster Kombat token on exchanges, the rate of this asset also shows poor results. This is how the graph of changes in its value looks like.

Change in the value of HMSTR token from Hamster Kombat game

For example, HMSTR has fallen in price by 16.4 percent over the past two weeks. And most importantly, the historic low of the coin’s exchange rate was recorded tonight at $0.003669.

This shows that token sales by holders are continuing, while investors are clearly unhappy with what is happening with its price.

What will happen to Hamster Kombat’s HMSTR token

In an interview with The Block, one of the anonymous developers of the token said that the team is not discouraged by the fact that HMSTR’s price has dropped significantly since the Airdrop. Here is his rejoinder on the matter.

The price is determined by supply and demand. Currently, many people prefer to sell their tokens. We are now focused on creating new products in the Hamster ecosystem that will attract newcomers.

Hamster Kombat game character

Last night, the creators of Hamster Kombat unveiled the second season of the game and shared new details about the gameplay. It turns out that in it gamers will have to manage their own game development studio, while in the first season users took on the role of CEOs of virtual crypto exchanges.

The developers of Hamster Kombat claim that players will have new tasks to complete, including hiring employees and producing game hits, while the ultimate goal will be to create a gaming platform. The trailer for the season announcement also confirmed that clicker elements will remain in the game, meaning players will still have to tap.

According to the developers, 15 per cent of the remaining HMSTR tokens have been earmarked for season two, which is set to launch by the end of this month. Here’s the line.

In Season 2, which starts very soon, we will continue to integrate the Hamster Kombat metagame into third-party games, bridging the worlds of web2 and web3.

The metagame in the context of season one is rewards in the form of keys for Hamster Kombat players who have completed achievements in third-party games tied to the project. As a result, the number of keys depended on the number of HMSTRs in each player’s airdrop, among other things.

The team is looking to expand the game’s reach. This way they plan to attract players from regions where messenger is not so popular. Here is the commentary cited by Cointelegraph.

Moreover, we are actively partnering with developers of Web2 and Web3 applications, as well as board games. These partnerships will not only give our project access to a wider audience, but will also allow us to share certain assets across different games, creating a more integrated and immersive gaming experience.

Getting aidrop in Hamster Kombat and other similar projects requires a TON wallet - including within Telegram itself. We have written a detailed guide on how to create and set it up, which is available at the link. We recommend it if you have no experience with blockchain wallets and digital assets.

The creators of Hamster Kombat also said that they have “several revenue channels, including YouTube and Telegram advertising business.” They plan to “use the profits for further development.”

Earlier this week, the developers shared a list of blockchain addresses on the TON network that hold coins for further distribution within the ecosystem. Here they are:

  • 6.75 per cent of the total rewards in the game’s first season are located here. They are in so-called vesting and will be available to players after ten months, as originally promised;
  • 15 per cent of the sum can be found here – they are reserved for airdrop in the second season of the game;
  • 6 per cent can be found here, earmarked for distribution through partnerships and grants. This amount will be gradually unlocked over four years, and as of now it has not been used in any way;
  • and here are 8 per cent of the coins needed for further development of the project. They will be unlocked for 49 months, and this process will begin after a year.

Note that the comments of users in response to the latest entry of the developers on Twitter were mostly negative. In particular, users asked whether the developers really think that they “can fool the audience again”, and also noted that the change of theme in the game itself is a bad sign.

Criticism of the Hamster Kombat project in the comments below the post by its representatives

So far, we can assume that Hamster Kombat players are predominantly disappointed after the token's airdrop and the behaviour of its price. Still, HMSTR is at its bottom right now, and there is no reason to recover here yet. And since tens of millions of people have received the coins, this trend will probably last longer than we would like it to.
