Bitcoin payouts available for Horizen (ZEN)

Horizen (ZEN) miners can now receive rewards in Bitcoin, which means this feature on the 2Miners pool is being expanded. To automatically transfer ZEN rewards to BTC, all you need to do is enter a Bitcoin address in your coin mining software. All types of addresses are supported, and the pool will immediately identify one of them for payouts without malfunctions.

Node Updates

Update on the Nervos CKB network

The latest version of Nervos CKB (v0.119.0) was announced on 25 October 2024, with a preview chain for testing the upcoming hardfork. Thanks to this, developers and users are able to test certain changes before they are launched on the main network, which ensures the security and protection of the latter.

  • Bug fixes – resolved atomic ordering issues in multithreading, improved script performance and resolved possible transaction conflicts;
  • Improvements – improved query performance for the advanced indexer, and optimised filter operations for blocks.

Update for Zcash

Zcash version 6.0.0 was introduced in preparation for Network Upgrade 6 (NU6), scheduled for 23 November 2024. The update involves the introduction of a new decentralised funding model and a so-called lockbox for future grants.

A key update includes changes to block rewards and improved testnet support for miners and developers.

  • ZIP updates – implementing ZIP 207, ZIP 214 and other consensus rules to trigger decentralised development funding;
  • Recommendation for miners – upgrade to version 6.0.0 or later to ensure compatibility with the NU6 update.

Block reward reductions

November was also memorable for reductions in rewards on some cryptocurrency networks given their tokenisation. Here they are:

  • Karlsen (KLS) – the reward was reduced from 38.24 KLS to 36.15 KLS;
  • Zcash (ZEC) – reward reduced from 2.50 ZEC to 1.25 ZEC.
  • Kaspa (KAS) – award reduced from 82.40 KAS to 77.78 KAS.

To estimate the approximate yield, use the 2CryptoCalc calculator, which has been updated to reflect the current changes. The tool will also help you choose the optimal cryptocurrency mining strategy.
